Regions in Recovery Second Edition 2022

21 March 2022

In Spring 2022 the RSA and partners will reprise our highly successful Global E-Festival Regions in Recovery. We will follow up on discussions and debates around last year’s themes in a second edition of Regions in Recovery. In 2021 we welcomed a large number of new participants from a variety of geographies, all enthusiastically engaging in research and networking, and we hope to further expand the regional studies and science community in 2022. Once again, the RSA works with partners to bring together a fully online event for you to meet, network, and discuss research on re-imagining regions. We hope you will join us at this global online event, 21st March – 1st April 2022. This fully virtual event responds both to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic and uneven abilities across the academy to travel to face-to-face events and to the growing climate change crisis.

Regions in Recovery

2 June 2021

2020 was the most extraordinary of years when conferences have been cancelled or postponed and normal flows of researcher engagement and networking have been heavily disrupted. So, what is the plan for 2021, a year in which we all hope that vaccines will roll out globally and we will slowly see a welcome return to more social interaction? A small number of societies and research-led organisations have come together and agreed that rather than run competing events we will contribute to co-hosting a festival of regional and related research. This multi-partner event will run globally, online from 2nd June - 18th June 2021. Read on to learn more about it.
