I am Dr Oladyo Ramon Ibrahim, a researcher with a strong interest in rural development, urban informality, and social sustainability. My work focuses on understanding how marginalised groups, particularly the elderly and low-income populations, experience and navigate challenges in rural and urban communities. I am committed to producing research that informs inclusive policies and strategic planning for sustainable development in Nigeria and beyond. Winning the RSA Start-Up Grant provides me with an invaluable opportunity to deepen my research, expand collaborations, and contribute to global conversations on regional development. This award strengthens my resolve to generate knowledge that bridges theory and practice while addressing pressing socioeconomic and environmental challenges in developing regions.
