There are 4x 3-year postdoc positions available at the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity at the University of Oldenburg, Germany. These are part of our annual ‘HIPP’ scheme of postdoc fellowships to join thematic cohorts (https://hifmb.de/institute/hipp/). This year is focused on the topic of: The dilemma of the Southern Ocean: Ecosystems, sustainability and competing interests at the edge of the world.
The 4 posts are aligned to areas that might be of interest to a range of human and physical geographers and include topics of spatial marine management, acoustic ecology, and geopolitical dimensions of Southern Ocean conservation.
