We are very pleased to announce that the gold Open Access Journal Regional Studies, Regional Science (RSRS) has been accepted for inclusion in Scopus, the world's largest abstract and citation database.

'There is not much to say: this is an excellent and widely cited journal of regional science and already recognized as one of the leading journals in this field. I found nothing to criticize and a great deal to admire, so welcome to Scopus.'- Scopus Reviewer on acceptance into Scopus, March 2016

Congratulations to the RSRS team! Very well done and deserved.

Regional Studies, Regional Science

is an interdisciplinary open access journal from the Regional Studies Association. The journal welcomes submissions on regional issues in economics, geography, planning, political science, and related fields. With streamlined peer-review the journal accommodates research articles, shorter policy briefings and a new ‘regional graphics’ section, reflecting the growing importance of data visualisation in our field. Adhering to our longstanding publishing hallmarks of quality, methodological rigour and clear communication, we offer potential authors the opportunity to reach as wide an audience as possible through this open access publishing route. The journal also offers a mentored Early Career publishing route.

An article publishing charge (APC) applies for accepted papers in this journal. Current RSA members benefit from a reduced APC of $198 USD/£124 GBP/€165 EUR for a short article (≤3,000 words) and $395USD/£247 GBP/€329 EUR for a long article (>3,000 words).

Be part of the success story

Since its start in 2014, RSRS has been going from strength to strength with over 61,000 full text downloads in 2015 and authors reporting their papers have reached audiences they would not have reached with a paper in a non-Open Access academic journal. From feedback by authors we also know that this has resulted in consultancy contracts, research funding and prestigious invitations to speak at events.
