Hello and welcome,
I am Nicola and I have been working in the well-being sector for over 12 years offering remedial massage, Tai Chi and Yoga. I have always had movement in my life, with activities such as ballet, modern dance, gymnastics as a child, progressing later in life into scuba diving, road cycling, Qi Gong and teaching Tai Chi. I first started practising yoga 15 years ago and it quickly became a way of life. My daily practice started with Bikram yoga, which led me into Vinyasa flow, Yin and Restorative yoga. I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2019 after completing a 200-hour yoga foundation course. I have continued my learning in yoga philosophy with a further 30 hours training in Yin & Restorative yoga.
It is my aim to provide a gentle yoga class that is accessible for everyone. I provide modifications and alternate poses to support all abilities and will encourage you to feel confident and comfortable throughout the 45-minute session. I will also draw on my Tai Chi knowledge to assist with exploring body awareness and movement, to offer a relaxing and calming experience. I believe movement is essential to maintain good health, vitality and well-being, preventing and reducing discomfort in both body & mind, which derives from high stress environments, injuries and sitting immobile for long periods of time.
I hope you can join me at the Regions in Recovery E-Festival yoga classes and I am really looking forward to meeting you soon. Should you have any questions or require further information, please contact me or visit my website.
Painting Session – Tuesday 08.06.2021, 17:00-19:30 BST
The painting session is hosted by The Paint Club.
What will we be painting?
We will be painting a tropical bay and you do not need to have any experience in painting – The Paint Club Artist will guide you through the painting, but you are of course welcome to make it your very own masterpiece by applying your individual style.
How much does it cost?
The 90-minute painting session costs £8 and can be booked via The Paint Club. If you need supplies you can order a separate Painters Starter pack for just £10, also from The Paint Club. You are welcome to use any materials you already have.
What materials do I need?
You will need a canvas (8×10 inches or larger) or similar, e.g. cartridge paper or canvas board, acrylic paints (red or pink, yellow, black and white) and two brushes (one round small and one large flat brush). You can use any additional colours or equipment you have. The Paint Club offers a Painter Starter Pack for £10 (UK shipping time: 1 week; international shipping times longer and might incur additional charge – please contact The Paint Club for more information when booking), or you can use your own supplies.
This activity runs when a minimum number of 10 attendees is reached. We will inform you in case fewer than 10 people have booked the painting session and offer to transfer you onto a live tutorial held on Monday 14th June on the private The Paint Club Facebook Group.
