Marcus is the Head of Partnerships and Engagement at the Regional Studies Association, where he leads on identifying, securing, and managing strategic collaborations with networks, organisations, and consortia. He oversees joint projects and sponsorships, using member and market insights to enhance the RSA’s membership offer. Marcus also supports the development of territorial networks, delivers marketing and communications campaigns, contributes to strategic planning, and deputises for the Chief Executive when needed.
Appointed in 2025, Marcus brings broad experience from higher education, international collaboration, and marketing. Before joining the RSA, he led external engagement and knowledge exchange at the University of Sussex Business School, supporting academics in delivering practitioner-focused courses and collaborative initiatives. His career spans roles in the creative industries and global marketing, including international work in Taiwan and leadership of a UK university’s overseas office. Academically, Marcus holds a BA in Chinese and Management, a postgraduate marketing diploma, and is pursuing an MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
