John Harrison is Professor of Urban and Regional Studies at Loughborough University, UK, where he is Associate Dean for Research & Innovation. He is an urban-regional geographer interested in the planning and governance of cities and regions. John is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Regional Studies and the section editor for ‘Urban and Regional Horizons’. His recent publications include the Handbook on the Geographies of Regions and Territories, Doing Global Urban Research, Planning Regional Futures and Regions in Evolution: A History of Regional Planning.
