The University of Barcelona School of Economics and the Chair of Energy Sustainability (IEB -Barcelona Institute of Economics, University of Barcelona, UB) invite expressions of interest for a three-year postdoctoral position in Environmental and Energy Economics, starting in September 2027, with an earlier start possible by agreement.
The successful candidate will join the project “Boosting the Energy transition by correcting Cognitive misperceptions, providing co-Benefits, and fostering Delegation” (ATR2025-164656), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and led by Prof. Andreas Loeschel.
The project combines behavioural, climate and energy economics to examine the behavioural, economic and institutional barriers to renewable electricity deployment and electrification. The position offers a research environment within the UB School of Economics and the Chair of Energy Sustainability, whose research addresses the economic, environmental and social impacts of energy production, supply and use.
