1 Funded PhD position at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
4 years of funding + fieldwork + conference funding
We are seeking one highly motivated and creative PhD student to join the Mining Mineral Life research group. We are looking for expansive thinkers who take risks with their research, cross disciplinary boundaries, and experiment with methods. The student will be based in the School of Humanities, NTU, and contribute to the multidisciplinary research team bringing together the humanities and geosciences. Students with any background are welcome to apply but those with at least one degree in the humanities are especially encouraged.
You will propose a project advancing the Mining Mineral Life themes but will be given considerable leeway to develop your own interests and contribute to the intellectual direction of the group. Project themes include: political geology, geo-solidarities, mineral cosmologies.
Submissions must include a research proposal with research questions, a literature review, research plan, proposed fieldsite(s) and/or archive(s). For other submission requirements visit the portal: https://www.ntu.edu.sg/admissions/graduate/radmissionguide
