The School of Architecture and Interior Design at Canadian University Dubai seeks for individuals with a distinguished portfolio in studio projects. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach 12 credits, typically resulting in one design studio and two taught courses a semester, including student academic mentoring.
- Research through classic academic realm via research projects, innovations, and publication or via student-led, interior/architectural design or digital fabrication practice. Publications at a level appropriate for the discipline and designation. Applications to external research funds
- Service to support the administrative side of the department, school and the university or extracurricular activities for students, staff, and the discipline.
- Participation in departmental activities and administrative life.
- Positions of administrative responsibility at departmental/school level.
Additional areas of expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Proficiency with generative design visualization tools
- Application of passive design techniques in built or theoretical projects
- Ability to bridge knowledge of architecture history and theory with the creative aspects of design-based education.
Priority will be given to applicants with Canadian Education background, teaching and/or Professional Practice in Canada. Experience in teaching Interior Design studios will be considered a plus.
