As we all are committed to inspiring the next generation of urban leaders, the Urban Planning and Design Department at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU, China) is excited to introduce a newly reshaped postgraduate taught programme to broaden its scope and actively engage with the international community in a rapidly changing global landscape.
Our 18-month MSc Urban Planning programme offers three distinct pathways tailored to the evolving demands of the profession:
- Urban Regeneration: Focus on revitalising urban spaces and communities to meet the changing needs of socio-economic development.
- Urban Design: Develop innovative design thinking and skills to create sustainable, human-centred urban environments.
- Landscape Design: Explore the integration of nature and urban spaces to enhance livability, biodiversity, and climate sensitivity.
Our curriculum embeds sustainability principles and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and cutting-edge skills in Generative AI, enabling them to innovate in planning and design through technology.
