We are looking for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow in Sustainable Energy & Sustainability Transitions to join as at the Sustainable Energy Business (SEB) Research Group at the University of Oulu – Kerttu Saalasti Institute in Finland.
What we seek is an excellent international researcher interested in applying together for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF). The call is open from 9 April to 9 September 2026.
We welcome expressions of interest from researchers whose work aligns especially with topics on:
- Governance and policy of energy transitions (in particular AI and energy transition)
- Geopolitics and political economy of energy (Political economy, geopolitics, and foreign policy dimensions of energy, in particular energy relationship between the EU and the Middle East)
- Energy security, resilience, and crisis-driven transitions
We also welcome proposals related to other topics such as (but not limited to):
- Sustainable resource systems and circular economy
- Green industrial transformation and value chains
- Sustainable energy business models and innovation systems
The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship supports excellent researchers of any nationality who wish to develop their careers through international mobility and interdisciplinary research. Fellowships typically last 12–24 months and provide competitive funding for salary, mobility, and research activities.
Eligibility highlights:
- PhD completed by the application deadline
- Maximum 8 years of research experience after the PhD
- Must not have lived or worked in Finland for more than 12 months during the past 3 years (mobility rule)
