Greetings from the Committee of the 5th International Conference on Geography and Education (ICGE 2026).
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 5th ICGE 2026, which will be held in hybrid mode on 30 July 2026 at Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia, and online.
This year’s conference carries the theme:
“Bridging Science and Society in Geography and Education for Transformative Climate Actions”
ICGE 2026 provides an international forum for academics, researchers, practitioners, educators, and students to exchange ideas, present research findings, and strengthen scholarly collaboration in the fields of geography and education, particularly in relation to climate change and sustainability.
The conference will feature keynote speakers from the United States, the Netherlands, Singapore, Australia, and Indonesia. In addition, selected papers will have the opportunity to be published in:
- E3S Web of Conferences Proceedings (Scopus Indexed)
- Jurnal Pendidikan Geografi (SINTA 2)
- Jurnal GeoEco (SINTA 2)
The sub-themes of the conference include:
- Climate change education and innovation in geography learning
- Socio-ecological systems and population dynamics

- Spatial data for environmental change
- Disaster risk reduction and resilience
- Earth system and sustainability
Important deadlines are as follows:
- Early Bird Registration and Full Paper Submission: 3 March – 10 April 2026 (Extended)
- Regular Registration and Full Paper Submission: 11 April – 30 June 2026
