I am looking for two PhD students for the ERC funded project, CHINA.EU. It would be great if you could share this to any potential candidates I’d appreciate it.
The PhDs will:
– be based at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London in the Media Department (currently the Centre for Global Media and Communications);
– be fully-funded, with no tuition fees and a yearly stipend in-line with UK university norms;
– include fieldwork in France (PhD 1) or Germany (PhD 2).
The PhDs would be supervised by the PI, Dr Carwyn Morris, and other faculty members. The PhDs would contribute to the CHINA.EU project and would have resources to engage in fieldwork and long-term research projects, participate in international conferences, host workshops, publish materials, and work with non-academic organisations alongside the PI. These PhD projects are ideally suited for someone with an interest in human geography, media studies, the cultural industries, and global China.
