The Summer School will take place in Milan from 28 September to 2 October 2026 and offers an intensive, practical training course on Cost-Benefit Analysis as a tool to support public investment decision-making.
Participants may choose between:
- Module I – General Principles and Methods of CBA (28-29 September 2026)
- Module II – Sectoral Application of CBA (30 September – 2 October 2026)
- Full Course (Module I + Module II, 28 September – 2 October 2026)
The programme combines core CBA methods with sectoral applications through parallel sessions, allowing participants to focus on the topics most relevant to their professional interests.
The dedicated sector sessions cover:
- Transport infrastructure
- Environmental investments
- Energy efficiency projects
- Research, Development and Innovation (RDI).
The course is particularly relevant for professionals working on EU funds, Cohesion Policy, research infrastructures, innovation policy, and funding decisions requiring robust appraisal methods. Participants work on real cases, learn from experts involved in European appraisal standards, and join a network of 400+ practitioners trained over the years.
