The International Conference on Urban e-Planning, the annual event of the Urban e-Planning Research Network (UEPNET), will mark its 10th edition in 2026. It is organized in collaboration with the International Journal of E-Planning Research (IJEPR). It will be held online from 8–10 April 2026.
After nine successful conferences from 2016 to 2025, the 10th IJEPR International Conference on Urban e-Planning will continue to examine how digital transformation in urban planning can benefit society.
The conference brings together interdisciplinary research on innovative theory and practice in Urban e-Planning, including new methods and digital tools. The Conference also welcomes brief, practice-focused presentations. The increasing prevalence of digital innovations presents both significant opportunities and complex challenges for urban and regional planners globally.
We invite papers on the digital revolution—particularly AI—and its effects on urban planning and development.
The 10th International Conference on ‘Urban e-Planning’ will address topics such as the governance and planning of smart cities, the effects of Artificial Intelligence on urban e-governance, current trends in citizen e-participation in planning, connections between urban e-planning and social, economic, and environmental factors—including climate change, biodiversity loss, and the virtual economy—as well as discussions about decolonizing urban e-planning and considerations for urban planner education in the future.
