The Regional Studies Association has launched its new strategy document, setting out how the Association will support regional researchers, champion evidence-based policy, and promote sustainable and equitable regional development through to 2030.
The online launch event brought together a global audience of members, partners, and researchers, with plenty of familiar faces alongside those who are more recently part of the RSA community.
RSA Trustees Mia Gray (University of Cambridge), John Harrison (Loughborough University), and Grete Gansauer (University of Wyoming) presented alongside Marcus Atkinson, RSA Head of Partnerships and Engagement. Each speaker addressed a distinct phase of the strategy’s development, from preparation and drafting through to implementation and evaluation. During the event, the audience was given the chance to post comments, raise questions, and contribute to the discussion.
The full strategy document is available to read here, and we invite you to explore the details and stay informed about our shared priorities.
If you were unable to attend, we hope that you will watch the recording below:
If you are a researcher, policymaker, practitioner, student, or are interested in regional development, your insights and questions are vital. We encourage you to read the strategy document and watch the recording, and help us shape the future of the RSA.
We would like to thank all the members, grant holders, conference attendees, partners, Board members, territorial representatives and research networks who helped us develop the RSA Strategy.
