Editor of Reconstructing Urban Ambiance in Smart Public Places
This book aims to develop contemporary insights into a comprehensive interpretation of urban ambiances in smart places as it relates to the development of cities or to various levels of intervention in extant urban environments. The key objective is to provide a comprehensive theoretical base, which stems from the scholarly understandings of contemporary urban theorists. Premised on empirical and experimental research, the theoretical discourse is coupled with the development of a series of cases, addressing various contexts, which capture the essence of urban ambiances.
Due to the interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary nature of this book, this call is open for contributions of scholars and researchers from different backgrounds in the fields of architecture; urban planning and design, landscape architecture, and environmental design. Additionally, the editors welcome contributions from scholars in relevant fields that include human geography, anthropology, environmental psychology, installation artists, and art educators. Principally, the target audience can acquire further insights on how to use new approaches in research, academic fields, and analytical work; they can use the various methods contributed in this book for their research applications.
