The School of Economics and Management is the unit that coordinates the teaching activities carried out in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics.
The School of Economics and Management was established by resolution of the Board of Directors on January 30, 2013, in compliance with current legislation, as well as the Statute, the University Teaching Regulations and the University Regulations of the Schools and has its administrative headquarters in Florence, Via delle Pandette 32.

#RSA24 is kindly hosted by the Department of Architecture at the University of Florence.
The new Department of Architecture DIDA identifies its scientific and educational area in the culture and science of the project in architecture, industrial design, spatial planning and landscape, understood as a synthesis between aesthetic and humanistic, scientific and technical, economic and organizational dimensions. The culture of the project is now required to deal with the complexity of the economic and social changes taking place, with new scenarios opening up by globalization of production processes and innovations introduced in communication systems.
For over 20 years we have been the official promotion body of the destination , with the mission of attracting major events, congresses, international weddings and quality tourism. We are a non-profit consortium company, with over 300 highly specialized partner companies operating in the local tourism segment.
We put businesses in contact with local institutions and international customers, as a facilitator in the area and the first access point of the Florence destination. We are an official partner of the Municipality of Florence : teamwork between the public and private sectors has always proved to be the real added value for the promotion of the city as an event destination. Leisure tourism, MICE tourism (meeting incentive conference and exhibition) and destination weddings are our core business.

The Urban and Regional Economics Working Group of the Young Scholars Initiative explores the role of geographical space on economics and development, as well as the role of cities and the emerging importance of the political economy of urbanization.

The Global Network on Financial Geography (FinGeo) is an open and interdisciplinary network of academics, practitioners and experts interested in research on the spatiality of money and finance and its implications for the economy, society, and nature. FinGeo has close to 1000 members worldwide and is in the process of launching Finance & Space journal, in collaboration with the Regional Studies Association.

NORSA was formally established at a meeting in Umeå, Sweden, in September 2008.
NORSA is a non-political, voluntary, self-governing organisation with non-profit objectives andshares the aims and objects of the Regional Studies Association, which are:
(a) to promote education in the field of regional studies (those studies which relate to the economic, physical and sociological problems of development in major areas) by the exchange of ideas and information.
(b) to stimulate and aid studies and research into regional planning, development and functions and to disseminate the results of such research.
