Her recent research projects explore the socio-economic aspects of the rural–urban nexus in the post-socialist context from a range of perspectives, including local food, the social economy, and bioregions. She was an invited closing plenary speaker at the RSA Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Conference, held in Leipzig from 14 to 17 September 2022, where she presented her perspective on Global Dynamics and Regional Transformations in CEE.
