We are currently recruiting an assistant professor in the subject area of Sustainability Transitions at Chalmers University of Technology, Department of Technology Management and Economics.
The position is connected to Mistra’s Environmental Research Leaders programme, which aims at enabling the funding of attractive and long-term associate senior lecturer positions within the field of environment and sustainability. This programme focuses on developing leadership in certain subject areas rather than more precisely defined projects. The successful applicant will therefore have large possibilities to shape the content of the position within the broad area of Sustainability Transitions. We seek candidates with the potential and ambition to both advance the Department’s current lines of research and develop new research directions in close collaboration with our existing research groups as well as external stakeholders.
The position is a full-time fully funded tenure-track position (up to 30% teaching is included), lasting for a minimum of four and a maximum of six years. The role comes with a comprehensive support package, including leadership training (through Mistra), higher education and supervision courses (through Chalmers), and academic mentoring.
Successful completion of the tenure track leads to promotion to Associate Professor and a permanent position.
Application deadline is January 12, 2026. Apply and get a chance to join our dynamic research group!
