Уважаемые коллеги – российские члены Ассоциации региональных исследований (RSA) и все, кто интересуется региональной наукой и хотел бы больше узнать об Ассоциации и ее работе,

В качестве посла Ассоциации в России я готов ответить на ваши вопросы и обсудить ваши идеи и предложения о развитии российской секции RSA, организации конференций и других мероприятий в России, а также готов дать рекомендации относительно публикаций в журналах, издаваемых под эгидой Ассоциации.

Мне бы хотелось, с вашей помощью, создать сильную российскую секцию RSA, что позволит российским ученым лучше интегрироваться в мировую региональную науку, шире печататься в международных журналах и активнее обмениваться опытом и научными результатами с зарубежными коллегами.

Upcoming Events

RSA Russia Division Workshop

The RSA Russia Division and the Ural Federal University, Graduate School of Economics and Management are partnering in 2017 as part of the XII annual conference Russian Regions in the Focus of Changes on 16-18 November 2017. As part of this conference, the RSA Russia Division will organise a one-day workshop (17th November) with a focus on Global Challenges for Regions and Cities: Adaptation, Development, Governance. Both events are free of charge. 

The XII annual conference is one of the biggest international discussion forums in Russia covering issues of regional development. The main conference topics are:

The workshop’s discussion will be divided into three thematic clusters: The first one will focus on the new economic reality for cities and regions and aims to discuss issues regarding specific features of manifestation of global economic processes at the regional level, systematization of new challenges and threats for regional development. The second thematic cluster will be devoted to the analysis of development trends in different types of regions and cities under the new economic conditions with a focus on issues of spatial differentiation of socio-economic development, including those in the areas of financial security, employment, migration, and demographic dynamics. The third cluster discussion will focus on best practice models of regional and city development management, identifying financial resources for implementation of strategic priorities of regions and cities under the new conditions.

Russia Division Relaunch

The Russia Division was re-launched last year in October 2016at the RSA-Russia Conference 2016, in St Petersburg, Russia, entitled "Regional and Urban Studies for Strategic Planning and Development". Below are pictures of the event. 

2nd World Congress of Comparative Economics

The RSA Russia Division hosted a Special Session at the 2nd World Congress of Comparative Economics from 15th to 17th June 2017.

The Congress was entitled 1917 –2017: Revolution and Evolution in Economic Development and was held at  HSE University St. Petersburg, Russia.

The RSA Russia Special Session was entitled Regional and Urban Development in Russia and other CIS countries: Comparative Studies and focused on empirical studies of regional/urban development patterns in Russia/CIS countries and the analysis of factors, influencing development of different types of cities and regions.
