Urban Studies foundation Post-doctoral Research Fellowships, Centre for Urban Research on Austerity, DMU, UK

The Centre for Urban Research on Austerity (CURA) seeks expressions of interest from outstanding post-doctoral scholars eligible to apply for an Urban Studies Foundation Post-doctoral Fellowship. Please read the attached specification carefully for eligibility and award criteria.

We welcome applications in any area of urban studies, provided there are strong synergies with our research in CURA and with the wider field of urban studies. If you would be interested in working with us on an application to the Urban Studies Foundation, please email an Expression of Interest (EoI) to Professor Jonathan Davies at jsdavies@dmu.ac.uk by Friday 13th September. The EoI should include three elements:

  • CV with details of your academic and other relevant accomplishments in urban studies
  • 1-2 page outline research proposal highlighting originality, ambition and expected contributions to the urban field, including academic and non-academic beneficiaries
  • Letter explaining your eligibility, synergies with CURA and what makes you an outstanding candidate for an Urban Studies Foundation Fellowship.

USF 2019 Particulars and Spec

The successful candidate(s) at EoI stage will be supported by a CURA mentor in developing the full proposal and application for final submission. The USF deadline for applications is 21st October 2019.
