We are seeking to appoint two lectureships in Economic Geography
Geography at Newcastle are making a strategic investment in two lectureships to complement and extend our research strengths in economic geography. Newcastle hosts one of the largest and most dynamic groups of economic geographers in the world. We undertake and lead theoretically-driven, empirically-grounded and politically-engaged work within, between and across the global North and South.
We invite applications to the following two positions:
- Economic Geography Lectureship: Based in CURDS and Geography, this post seeks to advance critical perspectives on urban and regional development. Themes of interest may include, but are not limited to: cities and city-regions; spatial inequalities and justice; demographic change and migration; finance and debt; energy and infrastructure; institutions, governance and policy.
- Economic Geography Lectureship: Based in Geography, this post seeks to enhance the work of our broader Economic Geographies research group. Themes of interest may include, but are not limited to: critical perspectives on development; climate change and sustainability; labour, work and livelihoods; gender, difference and identity; economy and digitization; financial networks; consumption and circulation; trade and supply chains.
