The Department of Social Sciences at Michigan Technological University invites applications for a tenure-track professor in Environmental Policy to join our interdisciplinary social sciences faculty. Applicants with the required education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and accomplishments commensurate with a higher rank will also be considered for an appointment at the rank of associate or full professor.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in any social science or public policy field but graduate-level training and expertise in climate change, environmental, and energy policy is desired. Possible research interests include U.S., comparative, and/or international environmental policy, environmental or climate change governance, energy policy, or natural resource policy. Research or teaching experience in sustainability science or spatial methods (GIS) is desirable.
