The starting date for this position is August 16, 2020. A Ph.D. in Geography, Urban/Regional Planning, or another closely related field is required, but ABD candidates who defend their Ph.D. dissertation successfully before the time of appointment will be considered. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Successful candidates will have an active research agenda and maintain a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring students. Primary teaching responsibilities will include one or more urban, regional, and/or land use planning courses to help our students prepare for careers and post-graduate study in planning-related fields. In addition, successful candidates will teach a combination of introductory and advanced courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. The candidate will be expected to maintain an externally funded and internationally visible research program. The potential for a significant startup package exists.
