There are now record numbers of students attending UK universities from non-UK countries. And, although the UK has traditionally performed well in the growing global market for international students, more recently, there have been shifts in market position among the leading study destinations. Australia and Canada increasingly challenge the UK’s second place position behind the US in terms of incoming international undergraduate and postgraduate admissions, and there are large variations between providers’ relative attractiveness to overseas students. Within this context the role of tools that can generate accurate and reliable information for decision making is acutely important. This project will develop an innovative model of the UK HE sector that will provide better insight into non-UK students who are attending university both now and into the future.
