Postdoctoral Research Fellow – School of Events, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Leeds Beckett University, UK

The postdoctoral position is a full-time employment for 24 months. It is placed in the School of Events, Tourism and Hospitality Management and its International Centre for Research in Events, Tourism & Hospitality (ICRETH) at Leeds Beckett University, preferably starting in March 2019 or very soon thereafter.  The position is now open for applications, deadline is 21 January 2019, more details here: https://vacancies.leedsbeckett.ac.uk.

A talented, ambitious and enthusiastic researcher is invited to work on an existing funded research project titled: “Tourism in Conflict Places”. The postdoctoral position is available to highly capable and enthusiastic candidates from all over the world with well-developed analytical research skills to examine, innovate and extend critical, affective and visceral understandings of societal transformations through tourism and events in places and times of socio-political turmoil. Such explorations are needed to deepen our understandings of society and to inform the development of social policy based on the promotion of inclusive societies that value peace and wellbeing, and accept diversity and differences.
