new job opportunity for a 3 year post-doc in the ERC funded ‘Regional Futures’ (www.regionalfutures.org) project. This is a second post-doc opportunity in the project specifically seeking candidates with specialisation in organisational studies and/or information infrastructures.
ERC Regional Futures: Postdoctoral Research Fellow (3 years, Full-time, Salary incl. London Allowance £36,770 per annum)
Applications are invited for the post of Research Fellow working as part of an international research team on the European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant-funded project, “Regional Futures: The territorial politics of digitalization-as-urbanisation in the global south”. The research team is led by Professor Ayona Datta in the Geography Department at UCL.
Team members are located in Mumbai, Nairobi and Guadalajara, and the post-holder will be expected to travel to these sites when necessary. Fluency in speaking and reading Spanish, Kiswahili or Marathi is highly desirable.
The post is expected to commence on 1st January 2023.

The successful PhD in Human Geography (or cognate fields) with specialisation in organisational and/or information infrastructures, as well as research experience in urban contexts relevant to the research project (India, Kenya and/or Mexico).
They will also have experience of working with government stakeholders, and/or doing research on public sector organisations at national or local levels.
