Applicants are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in China’s Eco-urbanization in the Department of Geography, The University of Hong Kong (Ref.: 527066) (to commence from January 1, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter, but in any case not later than May 1, 2025, for a period of 2 to 3 years)
We are seeking energetic and productive candidates to strengthen our ongoing research on China’s climate governance and low-carbon urbanism. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Geography or a related discipline (e.g. environmental sciences, planning, sociology, politics and economics) and a demonstrated record of relevant scholarly publications. They should have research experience in one or more of the following key subfields in the study of China: climate mitigation, adaptation and resilience; urban climate governance; eco-/low-carbon urbanism; political economy of carbon neutrality; state power and eco-urbanization; climate justice; and energy geography. Relevant field work experience in China would be preferred.
