In the Faculty I – Educational and Social Sciences, the Institute of Social Sciences at the Chair of Organisation and Innovation has a PhD position (100%) in social science energy research. This person analyses interfaces between technologies (“sector coupling”) in institutional and social configurations using the example of and in collaboration with the technological research platform on hydrogen. Methodologically, primarily guideline-based expert interviews are used. The position is suitable for part-time employment.
The position is part of the interdisciplinary research program “Transformation of the energy system in Lower Saxony – a strategic development of the inter- and transdisciplinary Lower Saxony energy research landscape” (” Powerhouse efzn”). This research program is funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture as part of the “zukunft.niedersachsen” program with a total of 58 million euros and is managed by the EFZN (www.efzn.de). It combines six research platforms in an interlocking cooperation concept on topics related to the transformation of the energy system.
The sub-projects advertised are led by Prof. Dr. Jannika Mattes and take a social science perspective. The starting points are transition research as well as the sociology of organization, innovation and technology.
