Geography at Bucknell University
The Geography Department at Bucknell is one of the only geography departments at a liberal arts institution in the United States. Albeit a small department, geography and spatial thinking are well represented across the university and the geography faculty seek to maintain a central role in it. The department serves undergraduates and has close ties with Economics, Environmental Studies, Anthropology and Sociology, International Relations, Latin American Studies, Psychology, Women and Gender Studies and the Place Studies Program. The University also has full-time Geographic Information Specialists as part of a robust Digital Pedagogy and Scholarship Office. The department comprises five full-time faculty positions and endeavors to cover the breadth of the discipline as effectively as possible with a primary emphasis in human geography.
