AHRC-funded PhD opportunity, University of Glasgow, Scotland

PhD Studentship Opportunity in Cultural Geography / Historical Geography at the University of Glasgow, 2019

The School of Geographical and Earth Sciences at the University of Glasgow is pleased to invite applications for an AHRC +3 PhD studentship opportunity, through its involvement in the Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities (SGSAH), a Doctoral Training Partnership of Scottish HEIs.

The School Geographical and Earth Sciences (GES) welcomes student proposals which relate to existing research strengths in the following areas:

  • Cultural geography
  • Historical geography
  • Environmental Humanities
  • Medical Humanities
  • Historical geographies of science and medicine
  • Historical geographies of resistance and labour
  • Sci-Arts collaboration
  • Arts, health and well-being

Applications encompassing other interdisciplinary aspects are also welcome.

To be considered for an award, candidates must have applied to study at the University of Glasgow and provided two academic references, as well as completed an SGSAH studentship application form.

Deadline for scholarship applications is: Friday 14th December 2018.
