2019 MCAA General Assembly Annual Conference: Research and Innovation beyond the Information Age, Vienna, Austria
Modern society is at a crossroads. With technology revolutionising the job market and the internet reshaping people’s lives, it is a time of challenges and opportunities. Today, researchers are expected to utilize technology and information to further their scientific research, to communicate it effectively to the public, and to realise its potential in the market. At the same time, researchers face the risk of becoming overwhelmed by the diversity of information.
Are you ready to embrace the future and discuss the role of research in society?
Join us for a range of keynotes and training sessions aimed at addressing the evolving research environment – from how to write proposals for individual fellowships and European Research Council grants, to starting an entrepreneurship venture, and transitioning from academia to industry. Please go to the website to find the agenda for the two day event.

Members of MCAA are encouraged and welcome to present their research work at the General Assembly and Annual Conference. A Poster Session is planned to give members a chance to share their discoveries and experiences with other members attending this event!
Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is 31st January 2019.
Hardcopy Poster: Posters should be provided in A0 format (width 841 x height 1189 mm), although smaller posters will be also accepted. Members are responsible for designing and printing the poster, and for bringing it to the event.
Posters MUST include Title, Author(s) and Affiliations.
For the first time, the MCAA is introducing digital poster presentation. You can upload your poster in PDF format via conference app. Among all submitted digital posters, the top posters will be selected, and the author will be given the chance to present it (mini oral presentation).
Set-up and Presentation of Posters
When arriving at the venue, please contact the organisation staff, who will help you displaying the poster in the proper place. Authors are expected to be ‘on duty’ near their posters during the poster session to answer questions from the attendees.
At the end of the General Assembly, members must collect their materials with the support of the organisation staff. Any posters remaining after the end of the event will be destroyed.
Book of Abstracts
After the General Assembly, the MCAA will produce a Book of Abstracts, following the assessment of poster submissions made by members during the General Assembly 2019.
You can consult the Book of Abstracts from 2018 General Assembly here.
