We have two PhD scholarship opportunities at Monash Urban Planning and Design to study the past, present and future of industrial lands. Please share with your students.
Applications are invited from appropriately qualified individuals (domestic or international applicants) for two Australian Research Council (ARC) funded PhD scholarships at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. The PhDs will contribute to a research project called Remaking Post-industrial Plans: Urban Industrial Zoning Past and Future. This project is led by Professor Carl Grodach and Dr Elizabeth Taylor of Monash University, and Associate Professor Joe Hurley of RMIT. The project will blend interdisciplinary approaches from urban planning, geography, and history to examine the changing functions and roles of urban industrial land.
The successful applicants will receive a tax-free living allowance and Tuition Fee Scholarship. There may also be opportunities as sessional academic staff.
