Departmental Lecturership in Global Governance
Grade 7: £31,604 - £38,833 p.a.
The Oxford Department of International Development is seeking applications for a full-time, fixed term Departmental Lectureship in in Global Governance. The fixed-term role is needed for a limited time to provide cover for the substantive postholder who is on sabbatical leave for this period.
The post is based at the Oxford Department of International Development, Queen Elizabeth House, 3 Mansfield Road, Oxford and is fixed-term for 1 year, until 31 August 2019.
You will provide teaching on international security and global governance for the Master of Science in Global Governance and Diplomacy, as well as contributing the administrative work of the MSc in both term time and vacation. You will contribute to teaching, as appropriate, on other taught master programmes in the Oxford Department of International Development, engage in student examination and assessment as well as manage your own academic research activities.
You should have a doctorate International Relations or other related field, or evidence that a doctorate is imminently expected. An active research and publication record commensurate with the stage of career, especially in relation to international security or peace and conflict studies. As well as the ability to teach graduate students of a high calibre in a multidisciplinary environment, and to carry out student assessment, examination and course design.
